DAY 01: ARRIVE ROME
Arrive Rome, The Eternal City - a city steeped in history, vibrantly alive, and exciting and absolutely unique. Upon arrival in Rome, you will be transferred to your hotel. Later proceed for a City tour of Rome. This tour begins by Crossing Piazza dellaRepubblica with the Fountain of the Nayads, our local guide will take you on a pleasant stroll through the historical centre, where you can admire the Trevi Fountain, La Colonna di Marco Aurelio, the Palazzo di Montecitorio, designed by Bernini, the Pantheon (visit inside), Palazzo Madama - seat of the senate, Piazza Navona, Via deiCoronari (the Antiquarians Road). Passing alongside Castel Sant'Angelo and along Via dellaConciliazione, we get the Basilica of St. Peter which you can visit with headphones provided by our guide. You will have the opportunity to admire the Pieta, a masterpiece of Michelangelo.Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 02: ROME
Breakfast at the hotel. Day is at leisure or take an optional tour of the Vatican City, the smallest independent sovereign state in the world. In the Vatican Museum, you'll be shown a fine collection of antiquities, including the Sculpture Museum, the fascinating Tapestry Gallery, the Gallery of Maps and the world famous Sistine Chapel decorated by Michelangelo. The tour will then proceed to the Basilica of St. Peter, where you will see the art treasures of the largest Roman Catholic Church in the world, including Michelangelo's 'Pieta'. Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 03: ROME - FLORENCE
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer on your own to the train station to board the train to Florence. Arrive Florence - locally known as Firenze, a small expanse of land with awesome beauty, a sun - burnt orange glow on a towering dome is just a facet of this beauty. Upon arrival, transfer on your own to your hotel. Afternoon proceed for Excursion to Pisa.
A splendid excursion through the fertile and picturesque Tuscan countryside towards the historic university city of Pisa, famous for its architectural beauty. After a panoramic drive along the beautiful riversides, the tour proceeds with a guided tour to Piazza deiMiracoli to find the celebrated Leaning Tower, the Cathedral, an unequalled masterpiece of Romanesque art carried out between the 11th and 12th centuries, the Baptistery and other important monuments. You will then walk to Piazza deiCavalieri, where the ScuolaNormale, one of the most famous universities in the world, resides. Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 04: FLORENCE
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a city tour of Florence with Accademia Gallery. On this tour you will be taken along the romantic VialedeiColli up to the Piazzale Michelangelo to admire the wonderful panorama. The tour will proceed by coach through the old city centre. Outdoor guided tour of the Duomo Complex: Giotto's bell tower, the Baptistery with its bronze doors including the famous PortadelParadiso, the Cathedral with its magnificent Cupola of Brunelleschi. A short walk through the historic streets in the heart of Florence will then bring you to the reknowned Galleria dell'Accademia. Here you can admire the famous David by Michelangerlo and other works by the great artist. Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 05: FLORENCE - VENICE
In the morning transfer on your own to the train station to board your train for Venice. Arrive Venice - La Serenissima, Italy's fabled and famed city of serenity. Upon arrival, transfer on your own to the hotel. Later enjoy a walking tour of Venice with a Gondola ride - This tour includes a magical guided walk and an unforgettable gondola ride.
Get away from the crowds in St Marks Square and get lost in the maze of winding alleyways. A magical walk around the area of the Fenice, Sant`Angelo and Santo Stefano with a guide, up to Santa Maria del Giglio gondola station where you will enjoy a trip on the most romantic boat in the world: the gondola. An unforgettable Venetian experience! During the gondola ride you will see part of the famous Canal Grande and other less frequented canals (the gondola ride will be provided either before or after the walk, depending on weather conditions). Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 06: VENICE
Breakfast at the hotel.Morning free at leisure. Afternoon proceed for Half Day tour of Murano, Burano and Torcello. After sailing past the island of San Giorgio Maggiore, the Public Gardens, the tip of Sant'Elena and the famous Lido beach resort, the boat arrives in Murano, known throughout the world for its glass manufacturing industry. Here we stop for around 40 minutes to visit to one of the factories. The second stop is at the picturesque island of Burano, famous not only for its lace but also for the fishermen's houses painted in bright colours. The stop will last about 30 minutes. Then after a short cruise, we reach Torcello, the earliest centre of civilization in the estuary. Only the Cathedral with its magnificent mosaics and the church of Santa Fosca remain as testimony of its former glory. The stop will be for about 30 minutes then we return to St.Mark's Square. Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 07: DEPART VENICE
After breakfast transfer on your own to the station / airport for your train / flight back home or onward destination.
